The development entails a full refurbishment and a two-storey rear extension to this detached Victorian villa, located within the Crouch End Conservation Area of the London Borough of Haringey. The proposals also include a small garden room and landscaping improvements. Designed by Stockwool Architects, the scheme comprises 26 refurbished residential units and five new units within the new extension.

BLDA Consultancy undertook a qualitative daylight and sunlight assessment, as a response to the comments raised by Haringey Council during the pre-application process and relating to potential impact on neighbouring amenity levels. Apart from the impact on neighbours, we also considered future light levels within the new units. BLDA Consultancy’s delivery of a supporting comprehensive letter report subsequently led to a successful planning application.
